What made you get yours?

Finius, that Ak looks gorgeous - I can only imagine how ace the 'real' thing was.

Joe, I think the word you're looking for is ergonomic.

I have to admit that I like the appearance of the AR-15 family, especially after watching BHD. Again...

But, I disagree on the ergonomic factor. Whenever I've used an M4 (or atleast yours and Daves) I've always worried that its going to snap. So flimsy and plasticy. Though, that could be due to me usually carrying a lump of welded steel around. And the mag is in the wrong place, everytime I've had to reload I've tried to work out why the magazine isn't in the stock

I'm tempted to try and recreate the M4A1 and M68 RDS from BHD and Battlefield 2, as it is really growing on me...

I see a few other people have seen Ultimate Force - anyone else?

Meh, im sure you keyboard is considerably bigger than mine (whay!), since im on my iPhone

Also, the only reason you thought they were gonna break is cos they were:

a) JG

B) Plastic bodied not metal

c) And only £120...

You should see my snazzy new KWA M4! :D

And concerning the BHD gun... DO IT!

Ive watched BHD about a million times now and all the gear form it looks the buisness! :D

The reason I got my first M4 was based on pragmatism. Lots of internals and spares and I like how the weapon is balanced and its capacity to evolve with the necessities of an operator.

The pistol I got is a TM desert Warrior (1911). The reason I had to buy it was simple. 9 or 10 years ago, when I first started to play airsoft, I had a 1911 springer. Loved the ergonomics, safety features, trigger etc. Afterwards, when I decided to buy the TMDE, I had already tried glocks, sigs, berettas and none gave the feel and the shooting position of a 1911. Instant buy when I found one.

When choosing a gun, for me there is nothing romantic. It's a tool, it's gotta function and perform up-to-spec.

If it's a M4, AK47 or a YMCAXPTOCAMELBAK31A1 doesn't concern me much.

Nice that your open minded,

Ive always loved the M4 / M16, Games or movies. Held a TM M4 and that was it couldn't get me into any other gun. Loved the way they could be modified for your choosing :)

M16 = Range, Miss that gun so much :(

M4 = Coolness

My avatar sums up having an M4 to your liking.

I'm not seeing many people getting on the AK love train :(

My next AEG will probably be a two-tone AK w/ RIS.

They are great for field playing. CQB-wise, M4s, or 74S are better

I'll join your love train! AKs are the sleekest, most wonderfully designed guns available.

My only 'proper' gun is a Classic Army Sportline AK-47. The internals and statistics may be crap, but there is just something about the feel of the gun in your hands that makes it so beautiful. I love slamming in the mag and cocking the bolt, it feels so natural. It no longer works thanks to a faulty gearbox, but I'm going to put it up on my bedroom wall as a reminder of all the good times we had, *sigh*.

My M4 because its ergonomic you can fire at great distances and have accuracy
I see you have a G&G GR-16, I might like to buy a similar model for my first RIF. Is it any good?

I cannot lie, the few times I used my mate's old CYMA Kalashnikov, I did enjoy it. Whilst I'm a Saytie man at heart, sat down in a foxhole, armed with nothing more than an AK and 3 mags, being charged by 4 guys dressed as USSF, I had a real blast.

Anyone who has an airsoft AK and doesn't play with the bolt (whether it's attached to something of not) has something wrong with them

If RPKs were cheap and reliable, there's a little voice in the back of my mind that whispers "get one"
