WE Makarov hop rubber

The original hop rubber on my WE Makarov has given up the ghost so, I have decided to change the hop rubber to a Maple Leaf Autobot 60° Hop Rubber and the barrel to a Maple Leaf Crazy jet inner barrel.

I have noticed when resembling the hop unit that the Autobot Hop Rubber is a fair bit wider than WE rubber dose the Autobot need to be slightly trimmed to fit the hop unit, in particular, the external rib? ( see picture below in red)

Also, the Autobot hop rubber inner contact patch is canted towards the right so when the hop is engaged it press from the right, this is the same on the original WE rubber is this correct?

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

i'm running an autobot/pdi combo in mine, it is a bit tighter but it does fit, i kinda just squished it in.

range/accuracy is hilarious out of that gun, there's something delightly satisfying about using it long range.
