hi all

i got the gun a few months ago and was impressed with it.

i thought i would get another mag for in and i have found that the new mag doesn't lock back when it is empty.

i thought it was the gun so i tried the original one and that works fine. i cant see a difference between the 2 mags.

any ideas or is it a take it back job?

thanks

Did you completely fill the mag with gas when testing it? Could be the last shot didn't fully cycle the slide due to low pressure, tried filling it up and then dry firing it?

Yep filled all the way and ran it empty still the same problem

Are both mags the same make?

Does it lock back if you hold the mag into the pistol whilst firing?

I have the same problem with my TM G17, but one mag is a different brand & doesn't seat exactly the same as the TM mag.

lt's the follower in the mag that catches the tab to hold the slide so is there any damage to that?

Look on the left side of the mags. There is a little window where the follower (the part that pushes the bbs) can push up the mag catch when there is no BB in the mag.

Looking at the new make I can't see any this wrong

They are the same make

I have came across that if I push the bottom of the mag in the gun away from me

It locks back

I had same problem. Found that the spring wasnt strong enough to push slide lock up. Just had the spray out the spring a little and works 100% now.
