Right, so I am looking at this as a sidearm.

I love the 1911, and have heard good things about this particular one.

Any issues with this model? How gas efficient is it, what is the kick like?

Any issues with this model?

Paintwork and finish are god awful, Mine never locked back on empty, mags are crap and leak to easily

How gas efficient is it?

Google WE 1911 gas efficiency. The first page alone should be enough to answer your question

what is the kick like?

Like any other Gbb only you wont have enough gas in a single stack mag to shoot it more than 6 times (others may have gotten more, mine didnt)

Right. Point taken. I appreciate your feedback and will NOT be buying this pistol. Now, can you give me the cheapest "good" gas 1911,full metal is where it's at; maybe a KWA? TM is too expensive for my blood.

There aren't any good full metal ones tbh. 1911s have very small mags which means efficiency on any metal ones is very weak.

KWA would be the best of the lot though.

That's a real shame. I'll consider the KWA, what about the WE Hi-Capa Dragon? Looks great and apparently shoots great... any idea on that as that is a 1911ish kinda layout.
