Is it safe to put a laylax pss10 120 spring into a stock Vsr? Just got the gun and got given the spring for free.

I wouldn't recommend it,

You'd need to change the stock:

Trigger Sear

Piston

Spring guide

If you want any help with this, let me know.

The big problem with a stock vsr is two fold :-

1)The standard 45degree trigger is pants for long term durability

2)The stock cylinder on a TM VSR is abit on the thin side (there is an old story off one of the cylinders snapping due to load, but I cannot say for sure if it's true or not), add to this that the cylinder and cylinder head are pinned together ... which can be a pain to drill out

Most people just do the full upgrade in one hit

Yeah, sp00n knows his stuff.

45 degree Sears - On contact, they grind together, eventually becoming smaller and smaller. So it just all goes wrong with high forces.

So you change that to a 90 degree trigger system, therefore there is not this grinding problem with the high forces.

Which leads on to needing a 90 degree piston to go along with the 90 Trigger.

Then as Sp00n stated, the cylinder.

There are a lot of guides, so just have a little Google around.

I may have to put this in my sig lol

In all fairness i was wrong, there is 3 issues, I did miss the hook to the left issue on the standard hop unit
Put it in your sig aha,

Well didn't think we were talking about the hop unit area for upgrades,

Stock VSR hop means there'll be hook of the BB.

To combat this,

TDC Mod

Or buy AA hop unit
