VFC M4 recon no fire

Hi im new so please be nice!

i have just bought a brand new vfc m4 recon and it wont fire.

1. I charged the lipo battery and its all good 7.4 v 1300 as recommended.

2. Battery in terminals correct ect ect

3. Gun does nothing no noise no click just plain nothing.

4. battery and wires get warm when trigger is pulled nut thats it.

5. safety catch only seems to release on full auto and remains locked when selector is set to semi auto?

Its brand new and very expensive first gun i would expect it to work out the box ????

Should of got the Gand G at half the price of ths thing.

Any help please?

Have you phoned the shop where you bought it? It must be covered by the warranty so they should fix/replace it.

If you start taking it apart to try and trace/fix the problem then the shop may say you have caused the damage.

dodgy terminal whole gun was changed.
