so im looking on creating a US commando style loadout from the Vietnamese, cold war. and i wanted the primary to be based on the commando from black ops ( http://clansas.webstarts.com/uploads/1714469-commando_super.jpg ) and then use a 1911 variant for a secondary, i also liked the idea of a crossbow..but im not sure that would be allowed?:/ so i need ideas on what guns etc would be best for this style of loadout. thanks:)

what era would you be going for? i am a props specialist in my course at college so i could most likely be able to find what you're looking for. i have a free day tomorrow so i can look for you and post my finds here.

If it were me I would go for a late 60s/Early 70s SOG loadout from 'Nam with USMC Tiger Stripe BDU's, Jungle Boots, and just an old surplus/replica Vietnam era webbing system with the Yoke and belt kit. I would also look at the Echo1 CAR-15 or G&P CAR-15 (Old or New style) as the Commandos from this time would've used that kind of weapon.

yea, sounds good. i should probably check if a tomahawk would be allowed at my site:/

looks sick

this loadout will be awesome for when my outdoor site opens

aha, boonies are awesome

despite what ive learnt from call od duty, did they actualy use the MP5K in the cold war?

i don't think so it is more of a PDW than a field weapon not many armies used it

first off i wouldnt take much factual info from CoD as its more of a fantasy military shooter. But a list of weapons the USMC used in 'Nam and Cold War were CAR-15 (Shortened M16), M16 A1/A2, XM177 (Commando. No airsoft version though), M14, Ingram MAC10, M60 VN (GPMG), M1 Carbine, Colt M1911, .357 Magnum Revolver. Thats just a 'short' list, but they also used weapons from fallen Viet Cong. Just google "Weapons of the Vietnam War" and then when you find one you like just google the airsoft version

If this all fits together with a nice weapon and boots it will be one sick ass VN loadout!
