Hey guys,

I have a King Arms Blaser R93 LRS1 Ultra Grade in the post right now.

I know this is a fairly new weapon so I'm finding it tough getting advice, also I have never upgraded an airsoft before.

Basically I have noticed King Arms sell an M180 upgrade spring for it which will increase the FPS. I am wondering what other parts may need upgrading to cope with the extra stress this will cause. I have noticed you can buy a rubber piston for the gun too, but as said before I've not upgraded an airsoft gun before so I'm at a loss to what I need to be aware of.

Go easy, I am a complete newbie!

Which is why I want to learn. :)

I'm not really the one to ask about sniper upgrades, but I know that an M180 is far too powerful for its use to be allowed at any site in this country, that'd probably produce up to or over 600 fps, every site in the UK limits snipers to 500 fps, look at getting an M150 spring, or an M160 at a push.

You'll also likely need to upgrade the trigger as well as a number of other parts for it to withstand 500fps but you'll have to ask some sniper people about that.

i'd be very cautious about putting a high powered spring in.

The cylinder is weak aluminium and is designed just like the Warrior L96 Cylinder where the cocking handle is attached to the cylinder using a "crimping" method which, under pressure bends and cracks, as a result , one day you go to pull the bolt back and ends up snapping off.
