Ukara license?

First off,it is a defense for owning a RIF(Realistic Imitation Firearm) i.e,a non two tone weapon,one that looks like the real thing,no bright colors.

''To become a UKARA registered airsoft player you are required to take part in three games in no less than two months at your local registered gamesite. You must be over 18 years of age and able to provide some form of identification such as Passport, Drivers License or Bank Statement.''

Why does everyone call it a license? Do they not see the people who have been corrected before them?

It's a defence, not a license, you pay for licenses but you don't pay to be UKARA registered, although you might be charged an admin fee to have your details registered through a site shop.

If I have to say, "It's not a license" one more time I think my head will blow off. I think I must tell 50 people a day in YouTube comments...

 
There should be an automated bot to do that, so when anybody ANYWHERE on the internet calls a UKARA defence a 'license' it automatically corrects them.

And it's not a defence for OWNING either, it's a defence for the seller only! You do not need any kind of paperwork or licence or defence to OWN a RIF, as it is not illegal.

If you go around and wave it in public, then you are stupid and several burly coppers will reinforce this with real, live bullets, but absent that owning one is not illegal.

 
Perhaps we need a sticky with the title "UKARA is not a Licence".

And yes, I know. I wrote it like that on purpose, for the sort of people who ask this question.
