Right please settle an argument guys, my mate thinks it's legal to buy a two tone gun and replace the two tone parts with black parts, i however dissagree, i am right.... Aren't i? :S

Yes mate your right, its classed as manufacturing a RIF. He can do it if he is fully registered with UKARA though!

So you can buy a two tone (if you 18 or over) then when you become UKARA registered and then you can change the bits you need!!!

just to clarify:

You CANNOT buy a TT gun and themn change the parts to black UNLESS you have a VALID defence (UKARA)

doing so is classed as manufacturing.
