A fair point - I'm not sure 'need' is at all applicable to airsoft ?

I don’t “need” 20 glocks… but here we are…

I have 5 Gen5 MOS slides and not enough glocks to put them on ?

Disclaimer: I have never been a fan of, liked the look of or, fired a Glock before.

I have been running a TM FNX-45 for a couple of years and whilst it performs fantastic, the lack of all the attachments I could possibly want lead me down the Glock path. Having spent too much time reading and going round in circles and back and forth between the GHK Glock 18 Gen 3, Gen 5 and the TM one, I decided to take a punt on the TM G17 Gen 5 MOS.

All I can say is wow, I absolutely love it. It fits and feels so much better in my hands, not small by any stretch of the imagination, than the FNX-45 did, which just felt a bit too big all round. I have only fired and played around with it briefly when it arrived at lunch time today. But, I am a convert!

Now all those extras...... ?

I’ve built an identical one with steel slide and micro pro sight.

Despite its bulk, the gen5 doesn’t seem to struggle shifting the ACRO and it’s pretty easy to aim.

Which means I’ll be putting a BoomArms MOS plate for an SRO in the classifieds

Get the bomber or the angry gun ACRO plate. Boomarms and JKarmy have them. WGC also do the angry gun one and shipping is only £7 for orders under £90.

Ive been tempted to get the soldering iron and Dremel out to do some stippling, though I’d like a knackered lower to practice on first

to be fair, I have a cherry Red Cherry G17 gen3, so midnight brown is quite conservative ?

yeah. You can’t control how quickly they get through the orders.

£15 on eBay and a bit of super glue, you can convert those sights in tritium sights ??

I can’t remember the hole size, I think it’s 1.6mm.

I might just investigate that 

The holes aren’t very deep, maybe 5mm

I’ve already gone and filled them with titanium white acrylic, looks quite decent akchewallly

That’s about right - the fishing lure tritium vials you get are about 1.6mmx5mm. You can sometimes get watch specification tritium vials from Switzerland which are brighter. They tend to be a lot more expensive but it’s still cheaper than buying pre made tritium sights.

Stock pistols usually come with 97mm or similar length inner barrels.

I don't spend money on 97mm personally when I can get away with ~106mm for example. More fps on the same pressure but you don't have to hide with suppressor or tracer if you don't want to. A few mil between the inner and outer barrel.
