TM Glock 17 gen5 mos

Lol. Good. I'd have been surprised if you had bought into what they have to say considering your history.
To be fair that's the first time I've seen that website and thought id fire them off an email

I'd did seem a bit strange when I went to Google the name of the guy who emailed back and it had the same name as an anime character ??

Given their batch production it'll be a while before the verified truth comes out.  Either more fully marked Glocks will just appear at retailers, unmarked ones will appear, or it'll be an incredibly loud and noticeable silence for a long while I'd imagine since they probably won't announce the cessation of Glock production.

I believe this is their official site?  In which case if the Glocks/markings vanish from here then we'd perhaps actually have a solid answer.

TM: Re-releasing a variant the same gun line

Internet: Booo!! We want this niche gun instead

TM: Possibility of aforementioned gun line being discontinued

Internet: *shits themselves*
To be fair, the Marui gen5 mos isn’t a re-release, it’s a completely new design internally. Massive improvements. Even the gen4 was a half decent improvement over the gen3.

I'm pretty sure this is just a batch a supplier had lying around, since there is no mention of the shipment on TM's website. I wouldn't get too optimistic about new batches of gen5 just yet

Are you 100% sure? Because TM don't mention it in their product calendar

Well you can now order G18s and Gen 4 G17s so yeah, pretty sure

Link to the product calendar you're looking at? Maybe it's just not updated.

https://www.tokyo-marui.co.jp/products/new/#productsNew-Calendar    Here's the link. The reason I'm saying it is, as far as I know TM doesn't directly supply retailers, but ships to distributors who then sell to stores. It's likely a distributor had leftover g17.4 and g18c they didn't sell originally which were now sent to stores (and TM didn't say anything about new shipments)

Trademarks still there, and "new in stock" but no indication if this is left over stock, new batch, or anything to do with the G5.

I doubt they will have re-engineered the gen4. They’ll have just re-produced it to the original spec. It was very good at the time and still pretty decent even with the improvements of the gen5. Seems like a lot of added cost.
