TM FNX 45

Blatant show-off post.

On a related note, a trijicon genuine RMR will not fit the FNX without modification. It looks like there are 2 centre punch marks on the 'L' bits that align with the mounting holes on the RMR. However it would need either a spacer plate making up or the mounts grinding back flush. Either way you'd still need to tap and drill holes for the mounting screws.

Yup. The pot metal (zinc-aluminium alloy) means it’s almost impossible to tap threads into the BBU, just ask @Dan1712

Drilling and tapping the crappy metal the bbu is made out of is very hard if not impossible I found. it didn`t come out the other side looking too great ?

It is definetly possible (or how would TM do it XD) but doing it by hand is definetly not easy at all.

Soooooo

Anyone got any reccomendations on how to gas the mags given that the cans of abbey 144 I just tried all bottom out on the base plate?

Ideally I'm looking for a shorter baseplate option. Currently trimmed down the plates a bit with a scalpel but it looks bork.

@Dan1712 so.. how would 1 go about mounting an rmr?
Apologies have been away h past few days so I missed this

Are you trying to mount an actual RMR or a dr style sight?

If your trying to use an RMR then its quite easy, I started with the Glock mount that came with my sight and ground off the rectangle part that mounts it to the Glock, I then cut the plate down to the sight was just at the front of the sight cut out on the fnx already. Lastly drilled two holes to line up with the threads already in the bbu and countersunk them and that's it all done. id say all in took about half an hours work and looks awesome.

Excuse the self vector promotion its the only pic I have on the pc of the fnx :)

@Dan1712 For now,  no doubt TM's next teased release will be a black or 2 tone black tan variant.

Also cheers for the step by step. My RMR came on an ACOG mount plate so will have to try and source a glock one.

Nurprol works, also I have had no issue using green gas in this mag even in the hot weather we have been having

It may be possible with a different mount plate. You got a picture?

Still waiting on mine to be made... what sort of time between batches am I looking at?

Am I the only one who is having problems with filling gas on the mags? After 1 second the gas overflows. I have 2 different mags, same issue. Never had this problem in the past with other TM pistols.
