I think this is one of the most awesome Youtube videos regarding jets and that.
If I were god, I think I'd just sit about ripping holes in the universe to try and mimic the sound of fighter jets flying about, there really is no other noise that's nearly as awesome. It's a shame you don't get the feeling of it from the videos. In real life it's always hair raising.

these are my 3 favourite videos and i cant find a video but ive seen a lightning jet take off vertical for longer that.the lightning is still the fastest climbing jet to 40,000ft bearing in mind it was made in 1957
