Theta holo battery

So the spring holding the battery is stronger than whatever glue they used to fit this in. Not impressed as its gone with the first battery swap.

Any experience out there of fixing this?

So the rotation of that barrel cut the wire and it was unknown black material originally used to bind it

Does 'first battery swap' mean that you've has it for a short enough amount of time to query a replacement from the retailer?

Sadly no, been well over a year now. It was surprisingly reserved over its battery use.

Hoping to have a go with a friends soldering iron this weekend. 

Though from seeing how this one failed, I'm amazed at how weak the bonding was. I'm going to see if I can leave some solder 'welds' to hold the cylinder in assuming I can fix the wire.
