Genuine question for you all, why so many of the same platform? are they not essentially the same?

I seem to go for different platforms when I am fishing for a new gun. eg, I just got an MP7 so next will either be a SCAR-H or RPK or something.

I do get the MP7 is a poor example to use as it doesn't have many models, but I wouldn't now go and buy the one with a ris under rail instead of the folding built-in one. Sometimes I see people's collections, and they have like seven M4s that look almost the same.

Just curious if theres a reason is all

AR15 seems to be the platform of the past/present & future with as many variants as you can dream up, AK's to a degree too... no 2 rifs in my collection are the same and there are plenty I don't have (yet), just buy what you want when you can, some will suit you & your game style and some won't so move those on.

Got myself a bandolier and mag pouches that I can thow on when it's too hot for the plate carrier. It gives a kind of civilian defence vibe when you throw a jacket over it

Many people will have a favourite gun and so will want as many different variants as they can get. While they might all look the same to you, to someone with an interest in that gun will be able to point out many differences.

There's also a practical side, compatible mags etc can save a fortune.

Tbh though the main reason is probably because we can

They have a piece of elastic you can use to tighten them. Between that and the rubbery material they're made of they're pretty good for retention

i used to make fun of people in my head when they'd show a collection with six guns being the same model until i realised i have four different USP-9s and i'm no better

Oh I was looking at one of those to have a cross draw holster and 2 mk23 mags on when sniping, is it comfortable to wear?

Oh, not that sucks When I sell stuff on eBay, I always plaster those envelopes with loads of tape to help prevent that.

Hopefully they will replace/refund?
