Hi, I tried to search for this problem but couldn't find anything useful. Maybe someone has seen this before.

I have a raven gbb 1911. I wanted to fit a tracer unit so had to buy a barrel adaptor.

With the barrel adaptor screwed all the way on the slide is effectively locked. Cant fire the gun.

If I unscrew the barrel adaptor 2 or 3 turns the slide frees up and normal operation resumes, albeit with a slightly wobbly tracer unit flopping around.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

other than getting a different thread adaptor maybe use a couple of shims.

SORTED - the supplier sent me a new adaptor with more internal clearance (drilled out a few extra mm on internal diameter).

Now the slide action works fine.

I think the amount of play the inner barrel has during the slide action was enough to catch on the internal diameter of the adaptor.
