I’m a small lad around 5’3 with a waist length of 32in and an inseam of 28in I’m looking into gear to buy but I’m really struggling as a lot varies in size and is different. There are tops in my size but it’s the pants I struggle most with. What brand would you recommend and at what size? I’ve been looking at Emerson on patrol base but I’m not sure if that’s to unrealistic for my size.

Most sites have sizing guides for what they're selling? Ironically patrol base usually doesn't. Look at Military1st for example, 99% of the time they'll have exact sizes outlined.
Emerson do trousers with a 32 inch waist

If I’m honest it’s not the waist that’s worrying it’s the length overall.

I had the opposite issue

When I first started, I was a larger guy and found finding shirts really difficult, as most military shirts generally stop around 2xl. I have since lost a lot of weight, but I found Kombat UK had a very good size selection.

You can also buy some you like and take them to a tailor and get them adjusted, or do it yourself if you're confident. Like Austeyr said, easier to take material than add it.

I too am vertically challenged. Best combat trousers I found were TMC G3s, as they did a short length. I got them from the now closed weapon762, although I believe they were the European shop for https://www.ebairsoft.com, so you might have some luck there. Bear in mind that you can adjust the position of the kneepads using the bungie cord in the front thigh pockets, so there is some flexibility in the length there.

If you're just after some camo trousers (i.e. without kneepads), grab some surplus British Army trousers. They're really comfy and plenty of sizes available on Ebay.
