Airsoft guns aren't air rifles, air guns or air pistols, same applies to paintball guns.
Airsoft would fall under imitation, or perhaps toy guns.
Airsoft guns were, but there was an amendment to firearms legislation in which if they fall within the new definition of IF / RIF including the joules limit then they are no longer air weapons under firearms legislation and are covered only by the VCRA
