Just a heads up to what appears to be a couple of scam sales posts over on Zeroin.

Both appear to be genuine old posts that have been hacked by and relisted. Thankfully someone contacted the seller and backed away when bank transfer was discussed. Below is the thread discussing the scam.

Just keep an eye out for anything that appears too good a deal, has a dated photo in the American Month/Day/Year format and requesting bank transfer.

Hijacking random accounts on forums seems like a lot of effort, but when we're talking about £250 of free money from each victim, with zero comeback, I can see why it might attract semi-organised crime.

There's no way that sites can keep on top of these, we're just going to have to caveat emptor harder and harder.  At this point, I consider anything other than PayPal goods and services (or cash face to face) to be 100,00,0000% a scam.

I'm sure the ever proactive admin on Zeroin will do everything he can to ban those accounts and try and prevent this from happening in the future.

Exactly.

There have been a spate of scammers active on face ache recently and in each case it is bank transfer or f&f options for posted goods.

Being the realists I am I said something like 'who the fuck still does bank transfer'

'oh the seller doesn't have PayPal'

Well wait the 30 seconds it take to set the account up then!
