RPK handguard swap.

For my RPK build I want to add a Romanian style Dong lower handguard. As an RPK one is as rare as hens teeth, a solution is to swap out the handguard retainer from an RPK one to an LCKM one, which would allow me to use the LCT AIMS dong handguard. 

Before I go down this route do any of you lovely people know if I will need any tooling beyond hand tools to do this? Mostly concerned with removing and re-seating the gas block. would I need a press for this?

If your just swapping the original LCT handguard for the LCT AIMS one, then you should not really need any special tools apart from something to flip up the latch for the front handguard retainer. Most LCT AK part are quite interchangeable since they are airsoft spec not real steel spec.
