Rounds down range, Airsoft over kill??

i think you have to accept it end of the day airsoft is not about real war its about fun (something a good few people have seemed to forgotten) and high caps are a tactic just treat it like your being unloaded on by a heavy machine gun and find a solution to it.

Yes but you seem to be missing the realism aspect which is what attracts probably to majority to airsoft rather than paintball

Airsoft is cleaner :)

On a serious note though, I do know what you mean ;)

Yeah but realistically, if you were facing someone with 30rnd mags and a full auto assault rifle, you would have to behave in the same way as you do when facing a high cap hero, otherwise you would get shot. No question about it.

I'm usually that avearge guy in one of the attack squads that get's destroyed as they turn round a corner. And the sites I go to rarely allow full-auto.

The majority of the games we play at my site are in the CQB village, so we are generally limited to single shot. But in answer to the topic, i find its quite easy overshoot someone, not on purpose i hasten to add, but most of the time your not firing a single BB to hit someone, so you can have multiple in flight before a hit is called.

The next problem is being hit by multiple people, so you run into a room and the defenders know your coming, you get over killed. Thats a fact of airsoft.

The thing i don't agree with is being hit repeatedly after you have stuck your hand up and shouted "hit, Hit!, HIT!" all that shows is general lack of discipline and disregard for the fellow player, Why that happens is beyond me, we all play airsoft because its the best use of free time known to man, therefore we should respect each other, as we all love the same hobby and that gives us commonality of purpose.

quite often though you cant see hand raised, or theres more than one person on the area(might be aiming for the person behind etc. when i know the target is down i go for the next. i know most of the times that ive accidentally full autoed someone at short range is cause i was aiming at a further target and someone comes round a corner.... walked into it a few times myself too...

I keep 3 hi-caps in total, but I rarely go full auto. In full auto the white BBs I use show up so badly, completely revealing my position with a hose of colour.

In fact the only reason I keep hi-caps is because we're given less than a min to load up at Chobham :)

less than a minute to reload?! WTF, I can just about get my mags out of my dump pouch in a minute, let alone reload the buggers!

"High-cap heroes" are on of my pet hates in airsoft. I use a mix of high and mid caps but I don't fire the entire mag on full-auto. I prefer the satisfaction of getting behind a group of enemies and then let loose the full-auto. Just to see their faces. But unless you're a support gunner, spraying on full automatic is stupid. You might as well wave a flag in the air so we can all see you. The thing is, you will use 500 rounds just on me and get no hits, yet it'll take me just the one bb to ruin your day. Which reminds me, our team's sniper deliberately aims for so called "high-cap heroes", because let's face it, they're a pain in the ass.

Hi-cap heroes are equally annoying for support gunners. As they just come up spray from their hi-cap and claim they're just as effective... :/

I really dont see how a normal rifle with a high cap is less effective than a support gun? It's pretty much the same thing but lighter- so really if anything it's a biti better? More maneuverable with a little less ammo

I don't know how many times we've been over this! :) no winding is a big one, also the gear boxes are more designed for sustained fire.. I used to think the same as you, but having used high caps and a LMG (and even high cpas in a LMG) the LMG with a box mag is so much more effective! if you want to have this discussion again facebook me :D

I know lol, just felt like winding you up a bit
