ris/ras troubles :(

hi all ive had my ics m4 for a while and have since brought a 6.5 inch ris, and didnt fit. does anyone know where i can get a smaller rail cheapish or do you know how to take of the front site to make it a free floater

ICS will only take an ICS RIS/Handguard. Had this trouble with my lads. Unless you use a free floater. To remove the front site you will need to punch out the 2 pins, then slide the sight and gas tube out.

ok if i take the sight off do you think its worth putting it back on on a longer barrel

Does it have the standard plastic handguard? If you take the front sight off, there will be nothing to hold the handguard in place.

If you're going free float, you may as well buy some flip up sights and mount them directly onto the rail!
