Hey guys, does anyone have any website links to companies that do a range of replacement clips, such as nexus buckles, D rings, the works really.

I've got a couple of rigs with damaged clips of various types/sizes/colours, & while i can source a lot of stuff from amazon etc, these tend to be the type that require straps being cut & resewn, something I'd rather not do, so if there's anywhere that does more specialised stuff, I'd be grateful 🙏

Cheers

Mark

Any chance i might be able to get some of those links too?

Was reorganising my kit over the weekend and when I inspected my rigs i found that there are a few damaged clips that could do with replacing before they fail completely.

And like yourself, I would prefer not to cut and restitch straps if I can avoid it

It was when the Forum was locked for the changeover. Tackle could still make a post because he was a mod but we could only reply by PM :)

My reply was

"https://milspecmonkey.com/store/ for the hard to find stuff, based in US. Should find what you are looking for here in the UK https://www.contactleft.co.uk/.

Can also just mod normal ones into repair buckles "

Fair, didn't know it was, did seem odd. My error.

I’ve got some of these on the way from China

I don’t need them to do any reliable work, they will just be a ‘repair’ to replace broken fittings to lock a looped strap from passing back through an existing fittings

I may update some time next year once they turn up

(Slightly meaningless without a price = 10 for £1.66 with an estimated delivery timeframe order date 5 December,
despatched on the 6th, estimated
flight departure 11th and due to deliver between 12 & 17th or £4 credit)

An update as my clips have just arrived
They do what they should do, plastic clips that clip together and feel as solid as you can expect from a plastic clip

For my purposes they are pretty much redundant, as the required strap does lock from its own thickness, but for peace of mind it is now impossible for it to slip

They snap open and shut easily, but not in such a way that they would pop open.
With a strap in place it does take a bit more effort to clip shut, but does allow a single layer of webbing strap to slide

At 16p each their price is fine, but I had a late delivery £4 refund yesterday so they are effectively free - I have spares and am in a good mood so if anyone’s in need of a couple to try I can forward on
