Chaps,

So i picked up a bottle or two of Rebel Airsoft Gas, the green bottle which is classed as mid pressure gas. Stuck it in a TM HK45 thinking it would be a tad better than the Abbey Predator green gas. Holy crap was I wrong... Not a tad better but stupidly better. Checked the psi and it's 175 psi. Just to put things into perspective the Abbey Ultra Gas (Red bottle) is 110-120psi and i used to think that was pretty good...

Need to chrono a 0.2bb and see what it kicks out... but my goodness me the HK45 has some serious blowback... May need to upgrade some parts just to be on the safe side... Can't wait to try it out in a MWS though... Happy days :)

They also have a range of BB's but not used them yet....

So anyone used their gas and bb's?

No idea... I've had mine since 2020 and I've dropped, lost it, found it, sat on it... and it seems to still work like clock work :D

From TM website:
"HFC134a or 144a (such as Abbey Predator 144a gas) are the only gas type recommended to operate Tokyo Marui gas pistols or rifles. Please note that we do not honour warranty claims for the use of another type of gas (such as green gas, red gas, co2, etc...)"

Any higher pressure gas will speed up the time till something fails, whether that's after a few hundred or a few hundred thousand shots is another thing.

Also I'd be careful using something that high pressure as it could easily put you way over site limits. I'd say this is especially important for pistols as they tend to be used at closer range
Please note that we do not honour warranty claims for the use of another type of gas (such as green gas, red gas, co2, etc...)"
Would TM ever honour a warranty for rifs sold outside of Japan? Even if you did only use 134a or 144a and could prove it

Is that translated from the actual TM website or the unauthorised site pretending to be TM? It doesn't seem like something that TM would actually say. Nor would I have thought they'd be aware of Abby gases.

Turns out it's a C3H8 gas which essentially is propane. On reflection, it's best not suitable for pistols ... Will try it in the MWS and chrono it when i have a moment...

Can't remember the site but it was Tokyo Marui something. I just did a search for gas recommended by TM. I don't have any TM gear but I've always heard that they recommend low power gas especially with the plastic slide pistols.
