Does anyone have any recommendations on affordable but decent quality plate carriers?

Warrior DCS is a decent bet in my opinion. 

Edit: Not sure what your criteria for affordable is, I think I got my DCS for about £100 on special offer.

I'll second Warrior Assault Systems; fantastic kit! I've got a SAPI carrier on the way in OD from them, as my chest rig from them has lasted me for around 13 years now. It's more pricey than the other airsoft brands like 8Fields and Viper, but the quality is far, far better as they're designed for real steel shooting.

I have a Warrior DCS and run 4.5kg plates in mine...very comfy and balanced.

To be honest you cant go far wrong with viper elite carrier. Under £40(without plates)

I lot, if not most,of my gear is viper brand and I've never yet had any fail on me.

Its cheap(ish) but the quality is excellent.
