Photos from the field

Few from a game day at Black Ops Cribbs in Bristol back in Feb, all taken by a gentleman called Kris Roberts who was shooting for Airsoft Action at the time... sadly I wasn't cool enough for my photos to make it into the article!

Having far too much fun with the MP7

Facing away from the camera, my buddy Andy calling targets

If you're rocking an AVS and that's still not cool enough for an airsoft mag... well there's only so much a man can do in life.

haters gonna hate!

next time he's shooting a game day I'm at I'll rock out a TMC RRV in DPM with an army of two mesh mask... guaranteed page filler!

Couple of me from Alpha One on Sunday, there may be more to share in the next few days, these have come from "Part One" of the photo album.

No bueno. Black looks nicer in my opinion.

Unless you got a dark earth/light subdued green effect like MTP, then it's be decent...

I thought you hated them in tan Ed lol? I like it a lot, keeps it looking up to date too

IMVHO - Black is seriously old school (in a bad way) and black guns for arid ops needs to die, yesterday, hell for any ops even a coyote sprayed gun works better just about everywhere vs black. The fact the MoD cottoned on to this at least a decade after we went in to afghan isn't surprising, but it's better late than never. Ed those very 2 pictures are a prime example if any more were needed.

Guaranteed.

I did hate them at first, Marcus.

But the more I see them, the more they've grown on me. The only thing really holding me back is worry that I'll somehow fill the bolt with paint and ruin the gun lol.

Black is best, anything else looks like a toy.
In your opinion.

However a very large proportion of the top tier personnel in the best trained, best equipped military forces in the western world are not in agreement with you. If you want to run your airsoft guns that way that's absolutely fine, but it doesn't change the facts of what's actually getting used out in the real world right now i.e. the very opposite of toys.

Why would you want a gun painted for arid and desrt conditions then use it in our green woods?

These things are fashion. Special Forces are just as prone to fashion as anyone else.

In a year or two all the guns will be black again.

brown is still a more common colour in the woods than black... even in british woodland a tan gun blends better than a black one (except at night).

So why not just strip it down and only paint the shell then?
