Photos from the field

Good job, Sam! Very quick target acquisition when you pop out from behind the door. Just one thing... it looks like you dropped that mag by accident

I did need a reload ( you can here the tone of my rifle change) but saw the enemy player moving and stepped back and dropped it like a noob!

Here are some photos of me and my mate George (Chippins on the forums), taken today at Skirmish Airsoft by my brother.

I think we've got the Brit kit look nailed down pretty firmly.

Me left, him right.

Me with my L85:

More of an action shot:

Here's George, the L129 is mine, made by "Golightly" of ZeroIn/UKAZ

My cool face:

And finally, my brother wanted to see if he could pull off a shot whilst the slide was fully to the rear, mid cycle, so got me to spam a tree in the distance with my Glock:

No idea how you manage to hold an AR with the stock so far extended but it sure as hell looks awesome

The scope needs a good 2-3 inches eye relief so it has to be pretty far out.

Being largely bullpup rifle users though, I can say for myself that I'm used to there being about a foot long gap between my trigger hand and shoulder, if I have the stock on an AR on anything less than the 3rd position then I just feel like I'm trying to squash myself into a box or something, gives me a weird sense of claustrophobia.

Dunno if George feels the same way, but he's running it the same way I would. I actually got some footage of me using it this time around, so I'll start working on getting some videos out tomorrow.

Think it's safe to say you two have it pretty much nailed ;)

My only critique is for chippins to shift the mags off his front, current doctrine is to have nothing that can cause secondary fragmentation on the front so mags all need shifting to the sides or belt.

If he's going for an impression of a specific time (more than about 18 months ago) then it's kosher, but you won't see anyone knocking about Afghanistan with mags on their front these days unless they have a bloody good reason.

Aye, I just got my belt to take stuff off my rig. Though I still have a 6x mag pouch on my left which comes around my front quite far, it's hard to keep it practical for airsoft without using high caps. Which takes from the authenticity a bit.

Bit of a catch 22.

George doesn't have cummerbunds though, only an ops panel, which kinda forces you to mount stuff on it instead of the sides, 'cos otherwise you can't fasten/unfasten it.

Looks pretty good anyway so I don't think either of us are spectacularly fussed.

The secondary frag is mainly smaller items that are easily dislodged like pens, bayonets, speed loaders and spoons!

My best photo from Sunday.

Taken at red1airsoft school site in watford on Sunday 28/7/13. Was my first time with my TM Scar H recoil.

In the first pic me and the other player went back to back and held off about 15 people for about 2 minutes. Was very intense and I must admit I got a bit lucky too.

This pic believe it or not WAS NOT in the safe zone. We managed to pose for a pic whilst holding a room from front and rear attacks lol. Always time for looking good lol

Couple of me @Skirmish yesterday, rockin my new PLCE webbing sans machete (it was too annoying in the heat), a new Ill Gear skull on top of the black loop velcro from my Secret Squirrel patch plus Red Rose collar pins, and Jetta, my G36 project,

I think every time I've seen a set of photos of you taken at Skirmish, there's always been one of you under the stairs in the fort lol.

I'm going to start calling it "Ian's corner".

Ed I noticed the same thing! I thought the last picture was the one of Ian and his Ak that had been uploaded by accident the first time I looked lol.

There's only 2 pics I think, but the other one is one of my fav pics of me airsofting so i've dropped it into a few different posts. But yeah, it's a good place to defend the fort from - even better since the barrels of concrete have been introduced. I'd shot four people and discouraged a few more, surviving three pyros, before I came out of it on Saturday, because I was the last man left downstairs so I decided to retreat upstairs... hosed as soon as I got two steps up

I'll squeeze my sphincter tighter next time!

todays pics

Me on the right and Nickona on the left.

me at the spawn point

Nickona and me still covering our door.

and finally me doing the walk of shame..................and looking very pleased about it too.

The Galil really suits your loadout Nick. In fact, standing next to each other like that in the first pic, you could be in promotional material for a security company offering 'Personnel for All Environments' :D

Cheers, I'll upload the loadout pics of it soon!
