Hi all

I understand that if you are not a UKARA member then you can not buy a RIF, but you can buy any two tone but not change its apperence, also someone can buy you a RIF as a present. But here is my question on parts I've seen alot places that sell all the parts to make a RIF ie upper/lower receiver, gearboxes, motors, barrels, hand guards etc etc. basicaly everything to put a gun in full working order as a RIF.Is this breaking the law as you technically have not brought a a complete gun but are putting one together in kit form. Also I've seen that an overseas airsoft retailer is willing to sent you a RIF in two parts for you to assemble yourself to get around UKARA leicencing laws is this legal as again you have not brought it as a whole gun.

Not that I'm out to break any laws/rules just wanted to know.

Illegal because you're Manufacturing a RIF same thing as when you change any Two Tone Parts out for RIF part's

As above, there are some grey areas, but it is in black and white that you can't manufacture a RIF.

so long as at least 50% of the gun remains a bright colour, you can do whatever you like, as soon as you drop below that magical 50% it becomes a RIF and you're breaking the law.
