I, like many have watched the program from day one and now we're on the last season. ?

I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering what weapons are what so does anyone know what's what.

I was looking at hondo's main service weapon, I've seen him with a glock which I think is his off duty piece,

But his service weapon looked like colt so I looked it up its a kimber version which looks like all of swat use.

Anyone know these and what would you need to get a airsoft replica including accessories.

I haven’t watched S.W.A.T , but I’d have a gander over to imfdb.org

an encyclopaedia of on screen firearms ?

I don't think that ones a modern one as there's no rmr cut bit I could be wrong

I guess it depends which season we are looking at ?

Very much this.

A few seasons in they went to Taran Tactical for a bit of training/PR and then all started using TTI baseplates on their rifle and pistol mags and in the very recent seasons have all started using the TTI STI 2011 (which is the one with the RMR mounted.

I watched the first episode the other night after seeing this thread, and thought it was utter shite.  Does it get better?  Worth another go?  Struck me as just another low-IQ combat-bro series with slightly above average use of props.

Coincidentally, I'm three episodes into the first series - perfectly watchable on the train to while away the time, but my assessment thus far is that its not fabulous. I'll no doubt keep watching it though, partly because it requires zero thought!

Probs best off sticking with Gardeners World.

I jest of course (although Monty Don is hard to stop watching). Does it get better? Yes, in the sense that the character development works quite well for what it is - light entertainment in an "America, FUCK YEAH" style. If you're expecting anything much beyond that then no, you'll be disappointed. I like it, but then I'm happy to switch my brain off in front of the TV from time to time (apart from when they show someone looking through a red dot and overlaying a sniper reticule, that really gets me going).
