COuple of things, the Nuprol pressure pad grip is a normal grip with pockets for pressure pad switches. It doesn't have switches built into it. Just in case that was part of the question.
As for using the actual pad, yes they're great. Cheap ones will most likely fail after a while (usually at the joints) so make sure your laser/light uses one that's easy enough to get spares for. I'd highly recommend them for lights and definitely for lasers. A lot of sites will insist you only use a laser in short bursts anyway so a pad switch is very useful for that!
