Noobie from Essex

Hi guys

Just getting into airsoft going to be playing up at skirmish in billericay Essex.  

Played tournament paintball for 10 years and now fancy a change. Hopefully this sport is as fun. 

Get the feeling in going to have juat as much fun tindering with the guns as play the game. 

I apologise in advance for the stupid questions that might be posted in the next couple of weeks.

Welcome .  Have a read through the pinned (sticky) posts in each section, they will help. There is some great information on the forum if you use the search tool and do some reading.  Lots of members to help with the tinkering side of the hobby.

I say this to every member that starts off and wants to go to that site. Try airsoft plantation as your first site instead. Skirmish Billericay is an awful awful place to play at. The people are awful. The cheating is worse than average. The site is run very poorly and they don't make good use of what they have. There are a bunch of regulars that go that ALWAYS cheat proficiently. 

Airsoft Plantation is literally 5 minutes down the road and also in Billericay. It's usually busy and most people that go have come from Skirmish because AP is a better site in every aspect. Sure the Skirmish has some cool bits and bobs like Hill 60 and The Green Zone and what not but they are never used very well at all. The Green Zone is a joke anyway. They haven't properly boarded it up and so you can see through the walls with the gap that goes around the whole inside but you aren't allowed to shoot through it or throw grenades over it. The big gap basically stops any sneaking about and makes it so people know when you are about to peak.

Also very new from Essex. I may just go down to Airsoft Plantation and check it out. Like a lot of people (I expect) I'm too keen to buy a gun, and need to find out more about it all
