Newbie asking for some help!

Hey guys! I am a total noob to airsoft. I have not yet been to a war, owned a gun, etc.

I came here looking for some help - what age do you think is good to start airsoft? I am scared I will go to a battle and be frowned upon by the older ones.

However, I am extremely mature for my age, and airsoft looks so fun. It looks a lot better than paintball (which I have played a few times) because it includes tactics, the weapons are more realistic and it's cheaper. Also, none of my friends want to start it with me, so I came here looking for some buddies! Hopefully you can help me and advise me on what equipment to buy.

How old are you? There is a case for being so young, you may find airsoft too painful when you get hit. If you're beyond that, then really your issues are getting hold of a gun (it's not easy for an under 18) and finding somewhere to play (not everywhere allows under 16's).

I am 13 and, although it sounds young, I have searched around and found a couple of sites that allow 12+. I've played paintball and the pain wasn't much, but I've heard airsoft is less painful... You tell me...

Of course, getting a gun would be my only problem, I would only be able to get a two-tone (if my parents bought it). The only thing I was worried about was the older guys getting angry at me for being... younger...

That and Dev seems to think i have a Vendetta against U18'S in the For Sale part of the forum i'm sure?... but The Forum's Bringing out a Special Member Raffle thing so i presume you may be able to win a rifle legally that way and Free lol

Haha well there aren't many two-tones on the For Sale part, but I think buying second hand would be my best bet. The raffle thing sounds cool, but I presume I could only win a two-tone prize.
