Hey my names Toby and i'm from leeds.I'm new to airsoft never having played before but have done paintball in the past. I just recently bought an ASG Mk 23 socom pistol for use in CQC till I can get my UKARA license so I don't have to get a two tone rifle. Looking forward to hearing some great advice from experience players.

Welcome to the forums dude :)

First off- UKARA is a defence. You might think 'what's the difference?' trust me, there is a large one.

If people are encouraged to think of it as a license then airsoft will seem much more exclusive and people will think that the hobby is controlled like gun licensing is.

Otherwise welcome to the hobby, please leave your wallet at the door :D

Haha thanks man. And thanks for the correction!

No problem. Have you started to consider which type of rifle you'll be after when you get the defence?

I've been looking for about a week so far and the G & G combat machine CM16 raider looks good. I have a budget of about £200 for the rifle and then same again for equipment. What would you recommend?

I'd say any of the G & G range, if your only in Leeds you could take a trip to patrol base in Huddersfield, I've had nothing but good service everytime I've been in!

Yeah once I get my defense I'm gonna journey to patrol base. That's where I got my pistol from.
