As long as you are using the full editor (i.e. not fast reply) then look under where you are typing, there is a grey box called 'Post Options' and in there is a checkbox for 'Enable email notification of replies?'
Having said this I think they emailing system is down but I've no idea why.. I'm not given any errors on it so it may be something that our hosts have restricted. I'll keep digging.
Update: Should be working now let me know.

e-mail doesn't seem to be working, is there anywhere on the forum itself where it can notify me on new posts on subscribed threads.
Other forums have it under the control panel but doesn't seem to be the case here??????

It's definitely working I tested it earlier. Check your spam folder.
