Hi all, I'm Kenji, and I live in The Netherlands.

Just started airsofting a few months ago and gotten hooked....

I've mostly got the guns for display, but I do very occasionally play too (there's zero to none places to play here, as airsoft's been illegal here up till half January this year).

I currently own:

- MB08 Sniper with scope and silencer

- Desert Eagle .50 AE

- Colt MA1911A1 100th Anniversary model

- Beretta M92 "Biohazard" Edition

Airsoft ... illegal ... what the heck! I dread to ask, but am too intrigued ... why was it illegal? Seriously, the anti-gun lobby are very seriously ignorant, not only in matters of airsoft but the ownership of real guns too. (I can only suspect their negative influence here)

Airsoft was illegal in The Netherlands because of the reallife look of the guns.

Believe it or not, just a few years back even waterguns that looked like normal guns were illegal here, even in brightly coloured plastic (because they could be painted to look like real guns)

Apparently, the old bill here is really anal about lifelike looking guns.....

At the moment, airsoft guns have to be treated the same as real firearms (ie. at home they have to be locked in a gun vault, in a separate vault the ammo)

Being caught with an airsoft gun here can be sentenced with up to 4 years in prison.

In theory you could get a massive jail sentence here for carrying a Realistic Imitation Firearm in public. TBH I think that aspect of the law is a good thing, it's just that once something becomes subject to law, the more a certain type of person wants to regulate every minute aspect of it...

*sigh*

Anyway, welcome! Maybe we'll see you in our sights over here? The National Airsoft Event has got to be worth considering :)
