The better-half and I both have bikes, I've had them for the last 12 years and she's been on 2 wheels for 3 years now.

I ride a BMW R1150GS Adventure, but I fancy something a bit more 'fun' to have as a weekend toy. So, Harley Davidson it is!

Not your usual chrome monstrosity though... Something a little .....different.

Ex British Army MT350e - 350cc of indestructible awesomeness... ?

I should be taking delivery of it in the next fortnight or so, all being well.

Watch this space for updates!

Hangs head in shame...

I have 2 bikes.

a honda CA125 rebel

And a virago xv125.

Neither have left the shed for 3 years. Both run well, The virago  was given to me  because the original owner died and his son fell off it and never got back on again. Just a few scuffs damage. Its on an S plate 1998, and has less than 2500 miles on it (it still has the factory chicken strips). I like the AC in the car far too much.

I'm tempted to put in on classic bike insurance!

That’s awesome! And a little akrapovic too. Sweeeeet
Cheers! Yea I get some rather funny looks now it's got the akra on it. People hear it from a distance, think it's something big, then I come round the corner on my tiny bike ?

It never fails to make people smile!

One of my clients at work is Harris Performance, I imagine, if I were into bikes like you guys are, that place would be a true Aladdin’s cave. I have seen kit even I like in that place.

I can’t own a bike, I’d be dead within an hour, unfortunately I’m not very good at judging speed and I tend to sit flat out.. I don’t have any fear of speed, it’s not a good thing. I’ll stick to my 4x4s!

Trust me it is. The last time I got on a bike I took my satnav with me in a backpack... it recorded my top speed along the A120....

Lets just say it was a fair few knots.(weary that there are some coppers on here)

It was a ninja.

Words to live by. Speed is fine if you’re sensible. I’ve hit 160 loads of times leaving work. It’s 11 at night down a dual carriageway. No other cars, no side streets, just a nice, straight bit of road.

Wouldnt dream of speeding around town

160?. Close?.  Yeah I totally agree though, there is a time and place to speed, and it’s never in London.

and patched up to within a millimetre or two of my life. Gotta love the NHS ❤️
Hey! Me too!
However, once I could walk and use my arms again I went and bought another one with the insurance pay out.
I know. Mental.
I just wanted to know that I hadn't lost it.
Bizarrely although that crash nearly killed me, it probably saved my life in the long run....

Number of bikes needed = number of bikes owned + 1

Well, maybe 2 in this case.  I have both "Harley" Armstrong and MSX envy.

I'm currently rocking:

Nazi Tractor F650GS twin, in bumblebee yellow.  I don't love it, but by gum I can't fault it as a do anything bike.

Ninja 250 in black. Wrong colour, but much cheapness, many bargains. Throw an asbo exhaust on it for that angry wasp sound, full throttle everywhere, use the rev limiter as a ghetto quickshifter, licence friendly giggles abound.

Royal Enfield Electra X 500 AVL. Worth having one just to be amazed that you're still allowed to use bikes this inept on UK roads.  But try not smiling when you kick start one then blat around on a sunny day, giving way to everyone with a cheery wave because manners maketh the man.

A bit like with airsoft guns, I wouldn't want to have just one, no matter how great it was.

Groms are badass. Seen some really nice custom ones.
Msx/groms were made to be modded I think. They are just so easy to work on! Can strip the plastics in about 15min if need be!

Mine has had a few bits added and removed over the past 3 years. I'll be keeping it looking more or less stock though, I like it's cute and goofy charm. Tail tidy is next on the list, but it's proving a bit annoying to get one to fit with stock indicators.

I don't understand the lowering and stretching thing that Americans seem to be obsessed with doing to them ?
