Hi, I recently purchased an asg G18C and love it! The only issue is this is my first airsoft gun and I'm not to sure how long to charge it for. Here are the details: The battery is 500mAh 7.2v and the charger that came with it says Input:230v AC 50Hz 60mA and Output:7.2v DC 200mA. How long will it need to be charged for until fully charged.

go to the top of the forum page and it should have something to click on called apps do on there and they have a charging time app for batteries

Don't use regular walla chargers and such.

Get a good balance charger with menus and it will say when it's done charging.

3 hours, give or take. there are loads of websites that have calculators too.

REMEMBER. Those 7.2v batteries are NiCD. They MUST be fully discharged (flat) before charging, or they'll suffer heavily with memory effect. This will eventually kill any battery, but it'll certainly kill it very quickly if you "put it on a quick charge before I leave".

I love playing with AEPs, I have upgraded all mine to run on LiPo batteries by fiddling with their electrical systems and attaching a set of normal wires and connectors!

I also agree with the 3hr estimate with a 20% average energy loss as heat.
