Need HELP finding face protection!

I want you guys to help me buy the best face protection in my price range to use at skirmishs. I have a couple of links for you to check out and give me feed back on.

Goggles are what make the difference between walking back to the re-spawn area or having your eyeball popped. You may want to spend more then £3.79 on them. Bolle, ESS and revision are all good brands of eye protection, if you really want mesh try to get something of a reasonable quality but it's one bit of kit not to scrimp on.

£4! 1st rule of airsoft is to never cheap out on your eye pro. You've only got one pair of eyes and you don't want to lose them playing a game.

Admittedly yes all mesh is supposed to be the same stuff, but I'd at least get the WE NUPROL range. They've got a CE certificate which might mean they're a bit better.

I'd recommend Heroshark stuff though, it's the best in terms of mesh protection.

CE marking doesn't mean that they're rated for any kind of impact or to protect you in any way, just that it complies with EU directives for environmental protection.

WE Nuprol stuff is the same ACM crap that's been going for years, just in snazzy branded packaging.

You're right, I do know it's nothing to do with impact ratings but thought it might suggest they are slightly higher quality in some way.

Nope. You need to look for EN166 ratings.

But you're right in as much as EVERYTHING the OP linked to is cheap crap.

(just glasses & goggles mind not tried with lower mask but got in there real close)

but feel the strap might be a little too thin or not so robust for rough n tumbling about

so get the others - not welders ones of course they'd be a real bitch for night time skirmish

Yeah Bolle are good...especially for the price.

AFAIK all their goggles should be adequate protection but not sure all the glasses are ballistics safety rated.

All the Bolle Tactical range are but the Bolle Safety range are not. There is still always the risk with glasses of getting a BB round the side of the frame which full seal goggles eliminates.

you can get a frame and strap for the bolle rush glasses which turn them into googles. Think it was £5.99 off ebay but it is Bolle branded kit. Not had a chance to use the kit yet but the glasses for me are great bit of kit.

I recomend these (I'm probably wrong though) as they offer more protection in the way that you wont have bbs coming in through the sides and if you want you can buy a lower face mesh mask and do a bit of a DIY job of cutting it down a bit glueing it to the goggles to make a full face mask.

Thanks for the advice I was thinking of those to but I have quite a thin face, so they might no sit comfortably on my face but I'm going into my local store to try on some different goggles
