Hi Guys,

I'm after a motor for my G&G TR16 Carbine Top Tech. I don't require an upgraded motor but I am willing to consider anything as well as any upgrade parts anyone might have.

Thanks in advance

Ian

Hi Ian,

Was going to get around to putting on here a complete front end for a G&G fire hawk (stubby cqb M4).  Presuming this will be fully compatable with yours.

Front end is:

Pacatinny rail

Outer barrel

Castle nut

Inner barrel w/complete hop unit

I don't have the 'duck bill' flash hider though.

Let me know if interested, and I send pics and think about price, you can swap out the front end in about 5 mins for a cqb monster!!!

Thanks for the offer. But as I am such a noob I think it would be a bit too much.

Thanks again

Ian

Does your gun have a Dairy Lea G&G mosfet in there ???

Is it a blow-back model (likely)

Usually you should have a G&G blue powerful motor in there....

(well on more decent CM16's and I expect Top Tech models)

The lame grey is a 18k & blue is about 25k coz stronger magnets (still ferrite) & lower tpa windings

(the orange ifrit 25k has stronger silver neodym magnets hence it is a little more grunt than blue)

see comparison....

go to about 4:22 for results - yeah soz it is French

(So glad I wasn't born in France - I can't speak a word of French)

You "could" get a SHS HT = RA HT motor (long type) - aprox 28k to 30k

(think it is a tiny tiny whisker less than older SHS HT so say 29k instead of 30k)

https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/motors-parts/ra-high-torque-motor-long

Maybe for about £30 just over with shipping

NOW this is a MUCH better motor, though the blue or orange Ifrit aren't far behind

BUT if you have a mosfet/blowback G&G you REALLY don't want to go nutz on the juice

Just on 7.4v you will get say 17rps so you don't want to run 9.6v or 11.1v on blowback model

G&G mosfets can/do fail under a bit more load etc....

Hence me asking what is in your gun and also what battery are you using too

I mean you can buy a s/hand motor and take your chances it isn't half burnt out or wrecked pinion

but tbh if you was going to do that then buy a new lame motor:

https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/motors-parts/ra-motor-long

but I expect this to be quite lame and just like most slow cheapo motors in most cheapo china guns

I'd say get a ZCI Torque 22tpa, not so quick so safer for blowback models - but out of stock

Ideally you might want to stick with the motor that is in there - hence me asking what you got atm

at a real push I could perhaps see if I got one around but tbh I'd consider the Green RA HT tbh

(just go easy on the battery juice, if not and you got stash of 9.6v then perhaps like for like motor)

But time you buy a manky worn s/hand one you could if you are careful buy a nice new one

But like I said if you got blowback with DairyLea mosfet you might wish to stick with milder motor

(or like for like as I said)

best of luck

Thanks for the info sitting duck.

Sounds like a new motor is the only way to go.

Thanks again

What ever you decide go easy on da juice or ROF / RPS

Blowback G&G's can crack if you push them, not meant for crazy stuff

even if blowback disabled, the box has less metal up top to mount thin titchy blowback cylinder

So is not as robust as regular non blowback boxes imho

Stuff breaks, but G&G blow-backs can/do break a bit quicker if pushed too much

Mosfet unless silly ETU can be replaced

Just go easy and stick on mild rof at under 20rps

All sorted now thanks.

Thanks to every one who commented.
