Modify XTC PDW running 11.1 Lipos (Possible issues)

I am just after a little advice. I have been purchased a Modify XTC PDW and went to get batteries for it (11.1v). My gun tech was saying that I should not run them in it due to issues seen with CQB G1’s.

Has anyone had any issues or heard of any? I haven’t seen anything about it.

Generally not a good idea to run a 11.1v LiPo in any gun unless it has a mosfet and both shimming and AOE have been corrected. It puts a lot more stress on the gearbox.

That's what I thought but going on the manufacturers advice 11.1s are recommended. May just go low until I do the upgrades.

Nothing wrong with the performance of a 7.4v LiPo tbh.
