In case there are people out there that haven't completely given up on GHK AKs, they're doing a new AK105 V3.

- Full steel externals with real steel specs.

- Full steel fire control group and bolt carrier.

- New V3 5.45 style plastic magazine (available in both green gas and co2).

- 50% more gas storage compared with V2

I'd imagine they're currently in the process of being absolutely wrecked in the market by the TM AKM and VFC AK-74; this sounds good on paper but of course as we know the issue is they just can't actually manufacture things properly.

Ghk has repeatedly shown that they can't make good aks as evident in their V3 AK launch. V2 production already has a boat load of problems which they promised to fix in V3 but somehow made it worse.

I should mention that V3 AKs no longer have parts OEM by LCT which makes it entirely GHK's fault. If you haven't seen it already, Explosive enterprises have a video on the GHK AK V3 at launch. TLDR: The gun is inefficient, sluggish, has a high chance of parts defect, contains multiple unfixable design flaws, inauthentic to its real counterpart and expensive. Just to name a few.

GHK also lied to their customers, they paid 4UAD to have a "early preview" video and likely told them not to talk bad on the gun/ don't talk about too much aspects. Which is shoddy business practice to get people to drop £600 on a gun that GHK definitely knows is half-baked.

As big a ghk fanboy that I am, sadly I would only entertain a pre ‘19 AK variant from them.

My V1 M4 shoots flawlessly & my 553 is also superb

(stripped and lubed it last night, and it’s just a pleasure to work on)

GHK can't be trusted. They can't build guns that work out of box.

In the meantime VFC and Marui offers better quality for less money...

I looked at the Tm AKM when it came out

I appreciate that TM rarely releases a duff model, but the AKM did just feel a bit “meh” due to the aluminium construction.

I hope the VFC AK model feels better with it being constructed in steel

Thats what I thought initially, then I shot it.  You forget these things when you hit 70m easily with just a new hop nub.  Whereas the GHK wouldnt feed, or the FPS was too low/high or it wouldnt hop.  With the TM it just works

It's such a shame. I've got an early V2 GHK M4 set up as a 119A2 and it's a lovely thing. Very reliable, shoots well most of the year and a real joy to shoot. It's a shame they've lost that.

If VFC produce a carbine variant, I'll be all over it.
