Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

I do believe he’s replied to you ?

Yes. My issue wasn’t that it’s fake (it might as well be, the trademarks are printed wonky, and Sig won’t honour their lifetime warranty on it) but that he’s charging the same price as a new, real one, that does come with the correct box, warranty etc etc.

This sight is worth about £75 max

Until I messaged him, there was no mention of it being a Chinese fake, it was advertised as genuine. He got arsey so I reported it to eBay and Sig Sauer lol

Ha ha the dude reported my listing for magazines and they’ve cancelled it.

Except listing magazines isn’t against eBay rules, doh !

Interesting one this, we have a WE double barreled 1911 which is a *tad* (awesomely) overpriced at £140 seen as they retail at £170ish, especially considering the shitty condition.

The real eye opener for me is the G18c, which is described as the usual 'pretty much as new' despite having a fucked front end from being yeeted during a game. So, second hand, skirmished and damaged we're asking £4 more than you can presently buy a G18c brand new from Firesupport. The reasoning on this one is the addition of a Serpa holster, which from quick general reading is also second hand and hot garbage anyway.

Oh, and that's plus postage which I guarantee won't be cheaper than Firesupports postage, widening the gap further.

This thing of lumping unwanted accessories in with a gun that isn't worth the asking in the first place needs to go away and die. That and the nearly/as/pretty much new thing. It's either new or it's second hand. If you've removed it from the package, taken it to a game and run it, it's definitely second hand. 'New' should not appear anywhere in the description, ESPECIALLY if you've tried to use it as a lawn dart. ?

Interesting one this

Collection assumed, hasn't though about postage.  Hasn't even thought about fees beyond "etc".

Listing two RIFs in one advert is more work than listing them separately, once you factor in that if/when you sell one then you'll have to update the ad or keep telling folk "no m8 its gone m8".

He doesn't want to sell them.

Oh dear.

£150 worth of Firehawk with an unknown red dot, battery and burn-your-house-down charger.

£130 of Hi-Capa T-Rex, presumably WE.

£175 of Hi-Capa extended magazines, brand unknown, condition unknown.

=£455 brand new, all available in stock from PatrolBase today.

Random pile of holsters, BB, gas, mesh and dress up.

All for the bargain price of £550, take it all or leave it.

"would like to sell it all in one go"

I'm sure you would, but you won't, not at new+ prices for "as new", and before the inevitable "oh yeah m8 fees and postage and that".

I think these adverts make me the saddest of all. :(

I don't have a problem with him posting a fantasy ad, I just find it genuinely tragic that either one of two things will happen.

He'll hold out for that much forever, snarling "I know what it's worth, all day long".

or

Some mug actually does pay that asking price.
