As for size, I'm not too fussed, though I run a 10" m4 in woodland, and have seen an mp5k put to good use in woodland aswell.

So as finius says its not the size it's how you use it ;)

I only own one rifle that's longer than a standard M4 and that's a bolt action, really didn't get along with it the couple of times I've skirmished it. I like to stick to the middle ground really as I'm not a fan of the really tiny weapons, though I like a decent CQB AR-15 for the light weight and ease of running around sometimes.

Overall of course you can't go wrong with a bullpup. L85A2: M16A4 length barrel in an M4A1 sized weapon.
