L85

Hi all to  this site and to airsoft only been doing as of last november and yes i am in my late 50's

please could someone help i am looking at getting a L85 what are peoples thoughts

i do have a co3 m4

I think you have two main AEG choices, G&G or ICS

The G&G has a 'recoil' effect but most people disable it as it just makes noise and no actual recoil.

I prefer ICS as a make but I don't think there's any real difference mechanically.

There is a cheaper third AEG choice which is the 'Army Armament R85' (Their name for an L85A1)

Not sure how well it works so research before considering

Or you could go gas with a WE but gas is not recommended as a good starting platform.  It gets very expensive and is maintenance heavy compared to AEGs

I'm early 50s so just a bit behind you

Appears to be a clone of the G&G, right down to the "recoil" action.

Duno about the internals but externally the AA R85 has the A1 charging handle.

I'd still go for the ICS given the choice.  (and I did ?)
