This is on BOTH my recent ICS aswell as my G&G. There is a significant wobble between the upper and lower body, mostly so that you can "bend" it to the right. It is as if the hooks sitting on the upper reciever that is supposed to hook into the selector cylinder doesn't grip.

Bending the reciever doesn't work and neither does padding the space inside the hooks either. Instead of wobble, it gets springy and as soon as you hold it sideways, the upper springs out of place to the right. This was on the G&G.

What can I do? Am I missing pieces? Are there any solutions available?

There is a noticeable wobble between the upper and lower recievers on the real thing...

There is a 'spacer' that fits infront of the mag well secured by the front pin & slides into the upper... is it missing from both of yours?

Not like this. It's to the point that I can pull one side out of its groove or rail(?) and it likes to stay there. I can even move it up and down slightly. Having compared it to others it's definitively not normal. I'll try to make a video of it when I can, it's in pieces at the moment..

The way you tighten up real ones might work depending on how exactly the airsoft bodies are constructed.. though watching that video now on the G&G it's hard to say if it'd be possible. Basically you bend the metal tangs in the TMH (lower) inboard. They grip the spigot the protrudes downwards from the body (upper) more tightly; the one that comes down from the barrel extension on a real rifle, so around the back of the hop in bb parlance. Again, not at all sure that's going to work on the G&G and I've not tried it on my ICS; airsoft metal is mostly pretty pathetic.
I think we'd need to see these videos to see just how bad your guns are. My initial inclination is that the airsoft gods have not smiled upon you, sounds like you've managed to get lemons from 2 different brands.
