L85 - does this look funky to you?

Well I can't afford a Susat or decent Acog at the min but wanted something to give me a bit more of an ability to scope out the field so I picked this up at a decent price (thanks Nutster).

To my eye it looks ok, obviously I'm going to remove the front iron sight. Just to clarify the scope is also OD/OG its pretty close to the colour of the green on the gun anyway.

It will also be fairly temporary unless I really get on with it.

Anyway, opinions please, is it sacrilege or can I get away with it?

I used to have an elcan on my L85, that, like this, looked so wrong that it was right (like a pug).

At least it's not an eotech.

Cheers, just wanted to make sure I wasn't looking at it through some kind of cordite tinted glasses. Its a bit like Finius said it looks so wrong its almost ok. I'll run with it and see how things go.

It's almost L85 DMR-ish. Just needs a fat 'ol 7.62 styled mag

Did you have to fit a new rail to fit the site or did it fir where you take off the carry handle?

I think it's ok. Maybe it'd look better with a couple or three inches more barrel...
