Knights M4 SR.16 Carbine issues

hey forum, this is my first post so hey all!

i just bought my first airsoft gun, the Knights M4 SR.16 carbine and some high quality pellets. when i go to shoot the thing, it shoots more than sone and at a poor range, around 8 ft which im not happy about. is there a fix for this or if it just faulty?

If it is, the reason it shoots more than one "pellet" at a time about 8ft is that it only cost £29.99 and it has a fixed hop. You really think you're going to get anything decent for that little? They claim it has a range of 50m! What utter tripe. You'd be lucky if it shot 5m :lol:
