I just found out that JustBBGuns have decided to open nation wide skirmish sites in various halls. Etc. We all know they do utter sh__ guns. This presents an opportunity (though unfair)...
Let me post a quote: "BB Skirmish (part of Just BB Guns) offers a totally new and compelling way of Airsoft Skirmishing for all ages. Specialising in 2 Tone BB Guns and not UKARA (Black Airsoft Guns) like most other Airsoft Skirmish sites..."
In some ways this presents an advantage. Elsewhere, on the site, it recommends the minimum age to be 10. There, my friends, is an advantage. The site has a 320fps limit. It is only for two tones. It also says on the site (somewhere) that you do not need an electric gun.
Haven't spotted the obvious flaw? No?
Lemme explain. There are going to be a lot of parents will read the rather friendly description on the site, buy a cheap-o springer (from JustBBGuns) and let their kid take part. We, are more prepared. We are older, more experienced. We have experience. We have the knowledge. They are a new generation of airsofters, no knowledge, no skill, no tactics. They may play COD, (Surprisingly, their parents let them. Hell, I've seen 8 year olds on COD!). This is both an oppertunity, and a great flaw.
Flaw:
JustBBGuns may have just ruined the future of airsoft. They have basically inducted a whole range of inexperienced players. They need to learn, fast, from us. They must know COD is not real. They must know that gaming tactics do not work in the field. They must know, springers are not the way to go. JustBBGuns will potentially gain a lot of business. More springers will be ordered and bought.
After all that, the advantage:
There will be a flood of players who only have and only use springers. We can literally dominate the field. Sure, they are having games in age ranges. There will also be games where ALL players will be on the field. Easy targets. Bad shots, bad tactics.
Answer me this.
Has JustBBGuns ruined the potential of airsoft, or have they improved it?
Wow. That took me a while. Anyway guys, I'm sure some will agree with me that this may cause discomfort among airsofters. Of course, we could just never attend a site like that. But think, it is still winter. They offer indoor sites, with an easy advantage for us. What should we do? Spend the winter ordering parts and upgrading? Or should we take our guns out of hibernation, and teach them a lesson?
(Looking back, I just realised how much like a campaign this sounds!)
