No, not normal. Scam.

This site (and prefired, usedairsoft, airsofthub etc) don't have an escrow service so always pay/get paid by the buyer or seller directly.

You're right to be suspicious, airsoft for-sales adverts are prime targets for scammers. It's got nothing to do with the site, and there's no way for them to stop it. Targeting sellers is a new twist though.
